Development of integrated-optical technology is impossible without search and development of new materials. Organic molecular crystals with high electro-optical characteristics generate the great interest of researchers.
Aminopyridines is a new class of nonlinear optical molecular crystals. According to the simulation, this type of molecular crystals has potentially high electro-optical characteristics. In our laboratory aminopyridine type crystals are synthesized, optical and electro-optical properties are studied. Research is conducted in collaboration with the group of Prof. Timofeeva (University of New Mexico, USA).
